A nicely proportioned Victorian pine chest with two short over two long drawers. Traditional construction with dovetailed joints and original backboards. A warm, mellow tone throughout with age-related wear in all the right places. A practical and usable piece of good character.
Condition Report Solid and stable overall. Small gap between the beading around the top. Split to the plank top, but not structural. General surface marks, scuffs and old knocks consistent with age and use. Drawers run smoothly and interiors are clean. Overall a charming piece.
