An Edwardian oak open bookcase of pleasing, well-balanced proportions. The piece has a solid top with a simple moulded edge, and an open front fitted with two shelves. The sides are in attractive figured oak. The bookcase stands on shaped bracket feet, with gently curved cut-outs to either side of the base. A smart and practical piece of early 20th-century furniture.
Condition Report
In good antique condition. The bookcase shows age-related wear throughout, including marks and scratches, particularly to the front. Watermarks are present on the shelves, and there are some scratches along the base. Solid and structurally sound with an attractive, well-aged finish.
