A beautifully shaped traditional Windsor armchair, with a generous solid timber seat, elegant swept arms and a tall, gently curved spindle back. Raised on slender, tapering legs with a shaped crinoline stretcher. The chair has a lovely natural finish, showcasing the attractive grain of the timber.
Inscribed to the underside of the seat by the maker, a particularly pleasing example of traditional Windsor chairmaking, with an attractive profile and generous proportions.
Condition: In good condition, solid, sound and well made. There is slight splitting to the top rail, as pictured but this does not detract from the overall appeal of the piece. Some minor wear to the arms and seat, as to be expected.
