The chest displays classic 17th-century English design cues reimagined for the Colonial Revival era: panelled sides, carved rope-twist front stiles, and squat bun feet. Retaining its original brass batwing handles and a rich warm oak colour, this is a characterful and highly usable piece that functions beautifully as a small writing desk, bedside chest or bedroom storage.
In good antique condition with age-related marks, wear and surface patina throughout, consistent with early 20th-century use. The hinged folding top operates smoothly. Drawers run well.
