A charming late Victorian washstand in stripped pine, featuring a white marble top and a tiled gallery back. The original majolica tiles are a striking floral design in shades of turquoise, yellow, and green. The piece stands on well-turned legs with a lower stretcher shelf, and includes a single drawer with its original brass handles. The side towel rails are intact. A characterful and practical piece, ideal for use in a bedroom, bathroom, or as a decorative console.
Condition
Good antique condition. Light staining and marks to the marble. Some scattered dark speckling to the pine, particularly around the tiled back, but this doesn’t detract from the overall appeal.
