A Victorian country Windsor elbow chair featuring a curved top rail above three horizontal back splats, with shaped arms supported by turned arm supports. The well-figured elm seat is gently dished and raised on classic turned legs united by a stretcher. A lovely example with a warm colour and rich, mellow patina.
Condition
Structurally sound and in very good antique condition, with some wear consistent with age and use, including minor surface marks. The finish retains a lovely rich colour. There is a small split to the stretcher, but it’s not structural and overall solid and sound.
