A handsome Regency flame mahogany cupboard of compact proportions, displaying superb colour and beautifully figured grain throughout. The piece features a single arched-panelled door to the front, framed by rounded stiles, and a frieze drawer above fitted with original turned mahogany knobs and a brass escutcheon. The top is neatly rounded at the front corners, and the cupboard stands on a plinth base. A classic and highly decorative example with striking veneers and an elegant architectural shape.

Condition:
The cupboard is in good overall condition for its age, with a rich, well-preserved surface and attractive patination. There are some historic veneer repairs to the side and back corners, shown in the photographs, and scattered marks, small scratches, and minor surface wear throughout. These are consistent with age and use and sit comfortably within the piece’s presentation. The door and drawer operate well, and the cupboard is structurally sound.
