A charming Georgian oak tilt-top table with a circular top and classic gun barrel-turned column over a tripod base. With its warm colour and striking grain, this versatile piece would serve beautifully as a breakfast table or occasional table. The top tilts vertically for ease of storage.
Condition
Structurally solid and sound. The underside of the table top has been reinforced with later brass corner plates — a practical addition that provides extra stability. The tripod base has also been historically strengthened with a shaped iron strap and riveted plates securing each leg — a well-executed old repair that adds strength and character. The top shows scattered marks and wear consistent with age and use, including some darker oxidised patches and surface scratches. Overall a lovely example.
