A charming 19th-century bobbin-turned oak whatnot, displaying a particularly attractive silhouette with beautifully turned supports and three useful tiers. The piece stands on its original castors and retains a warm, honest colour throughout.
The lowest tier incorporates a single drawer with turned knobs. A wonderfully characterful example.
Dimensions:
Height: 117 cm / Width: 48 cm / Depth: 48 cm / Shelf Heights: 39 cm (between tiers)
Condition Report
In good, rustic condition. Structurally solid, with the shelves having been strengthened from beneath for added support. The piece shows age-related wear throughout, including surface marks, scratches, and a rich, honest patina. There are cracks to the shelves, though these are stable and do not affect use. The knobs show wear and some damage, and the drawer interior is aged. Historical saw marks to the top suggest the piece was shortened many years ago; this alteration is well aged-in and does not detract from its overall appeal. The original castors remain in place and turn freely.
